The results of twelve years of experience in using positron emission computed tomography combined with computed tomography (PET/CT) in the conditions of a large oncological institution for the detection of tumors, evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment, differential diagnosis, dynamic control within the framework of stabilization of the tumor process. To note the possibilities and advantages of PET/
CT with 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose in patients with the most common tumors such as breast cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma, melanoma, colon cancer etc. Also, to show the low informative value of this method in some other types of tumors.
