Over the past two decades, interventional radiology techniques have become an integral part of the treatment of primary and metastatic liver tumors.
Today, interventional radiology has at its disposal a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive technologies that are used as stand-alone treatment options or in combination with other therapies for cancer patients. The development and increasing adoption of interventional radiology in clinical practice makes it possible to achieve treatment results comparable to classical surgery.
The aim of the present work is to provide an overview of the possibilities of interventional radiology methods in the
treatment of primary and metastatic liver tumor.
