Over the past twenty years, the methods of interventional radiology have undergone significant development and are gradually becoming an important component in the treatment of malignant tumors of the pancreas.

Interventional radiology today has a wide range of therapeutic minimally invasive technologies at its disposal, which are increasingly used as independent treatment options for oncological patients. The development and broader integration of interventional radiology into clinical practice allows for improved treatment outcomes for unresectable forms of pancreatic cancer and complications such as mechanical jaundice and pain syndrome.

The aim of this work is to provide an overview of the capabilities of interventional radiology methods in the treatment of malignant tumors of the pancreas. It includes descriptions of techniques, brief historical overviews, classifications, and indications for their implementation, as well as safety of use and prospects for further development.
