Local treatment opportunities for metastatic melanoma

Local methods are currently widely used to treat patients with metastatic malignancies, including melanoma, with the best tumor control and survival outcomes observed with a combination of systemic and local therapy. This review focuses on the results of immunotherapy and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) combination and briefly outlines the potential of minimally invasive techniques and surgical treatment.
