Immunotherapy of gastrointestinal malignancies (gastroesophageal and colorectal carcinoma)

This article presents a contemporary overview of the role and place of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the treatment of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, gastric cancer, and colorectal cancer. The most relevant studies on this topic are highlighted, and factors predicting the effectiveness or resistance to immunotherapy in the treatment of both advanced and localized stages are analyzed. The role of immunotherapy in the treatment of these diseases is also presented in accordance with the clinical guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
