Vaccine therapy in solid tumors (MRNA, TIL, CAR). Is there a breakthrough?

The history of anti-cancer vaccine therapy covers already more than hundred years. Nevertheless advances of this method in the fight against cancer are still controversial. This paper gives brief overview of the main research trends in vaccine therapy for cancer and also other immunotherapy approaches, such as tumor infiltrating lymphocytes and CAR-T therapy, and the results of recent clinical trials. Although these methods are obviously perspective, it is too early to speak about breakthroughs in this area of oncologic science.
